We, like most, were innocently hooked on (what we called) coffee, on the overworked-to-overcaffeinated pipeline…Until the day someone gave us a sip that completely flipped the script.
House of Funk is born
Joined by our hop-happy homies, we chased down wilder sips, brewing beer and roasting coffee under the same roof. It just so happens that our crafts overlap — as did our fascination with fermentation. We learned far more from each other than our separate industries could teach us alone.
That’s how our aluminum coffee cans came to be, capped with an oxygen-scavenging seal. It’s where we collaborated on sparkling cold brew, cascara soda, cold brew concentrate, and coffee-based cocktails. It’s why we sealed some beans inside oak barrels — and why fans continue to request Whisky Business, year after year.
Experimentation was and is a way of life, driven by flavour and a sense of limitless possibilities.
