A great subscription. These are coffees I would likely seek and order on my own, but the joy of just receiving them and being surprised is tremendous.

A fun coffee line up.
This box might be the best one yet! How can you argue about receiving the coffee used for the 2026 AeroPress regional qualifier! So good. I brewed this one up almost every day until it was gone. I absolutely love the great coffees that FUNK curates each month.
It was very interesting to compare the same coffee done four different ways.

Amazing build quality with great thermal retention. The coffee it brews really does bring out the unique flavours such as anything fruity and floral. Price is steep, but you get a solid, easy to clean brewer.

Both the Indo and Ethiopian roasts in this month's drop were really amazing. Problem is I found myself back "to the well" multiple times for additional pourovers so my 2x250 subscription is probably too light!!! Really interesting roasts if you're bored of the standard stuff. Thanks Funk!!!

My partner and I loved this months' coffee. We were amazed at the freshness and quality. We knew it would be great but it still surpassed. The team was also kind - when I had messaged asking for a decaf, they replied quickly with options for me.
A little bit less surprising than last month's, but still good.
I love the surprise flavors I get each month.

Saddened to say that, although the tasting notes are different on each roast, they’re all basically the same.
Store owner replied: Hey Jeffrey, I’m really sorry to hear neither of the Guatemalan coffees didn’t meet your expectations. Please check your email-- I’d love the chance to make it right! One thing we’ve learned from using an air roaster rather than a traditional drum roaster is that our coffees can benefit from a longer rest after roasting (at least 3 weeks) for the gasses to dissipate and the flavours to fully develop. I definitely understand that’s not always obvious when you’re opening a fresh can, though! We really appreciate you taking the time to try the coffees in different ways and share such detailed feedback. I’d love to better understand what you were looking for so we can help find something that’s a better fit. 💜 -Aren
Really bummed by this. I ordered this and their decaf roast thrilled to try them as the flavor profiles sounded great and the vibes felt up my alley. They emphasized that they do only light roast and are looking for wackier cups which I love. Unfortunately upon receiving them and smelling both cans. There’s little to no difference between them. Having tried several different pour over methods with these beans they don’t seem to have any of the notes or similarity to what they’re selling. I’ve tried four different pour over recipes/methods and dialed in the grind. Unfortunately these beans just make an excellent cup of diner coffee. It’s a step up from second wave coffee and they have the stats on the can making them third wave, but I wouldn’t classify this as specialty coffee. Maybe there was a mistake and I accidentally got two cans of decaf or something.

It was ok., not great neither bad, just ordinary. This palate could not discern nuances. Not sure what I was expecting but it certainly wasn't funky. All said, I’m glad to have participated
Loving this coffee! It brings the fruit forward tasting notes I crave and a little funk. Would buy again. Also, it was delivered to me (in Ontario) pretty quickly.
