Consider this your official welcome to fall. Warm Shadow shows up like a heavyweight hug on the first cold morning of the season, and the Maracaturra variety is a big reason why. Literally. A natural hybrid of Maragogipe and Caturra, it inherits some of the largest beans in the coffee world, and more mass means more complexity in the cup. Expect warm rhubarb, marzipan, and apple cider waiting at the bottom of the mug. Fall just showed up. Get cozy.
A Legacy Worth Its Weight
Warm Shadow grows at Los Pirineos in northern Nueva Segovia, just ten minutes from the Honduran border, where cooler elevations slow everything down. Eudoro Guillén is a third generation producer who inherited the farm from his father and has spent over 25 years building on that legacy alongside his wife Norma. Here they grow Maracaturra, a natural hybrid of Maragogipe and Caturra known for its oversized beans, and run it through a traditional washed process that keeps everything clean and honest. Up to 100 hands at harvest, 20 year round, and generations of care in every cup.FAQ
